I was born in Poland, in 1975.
I spent 18 years in beautiful Gdansk before I emigrated with my family to the United States.
As
a little girl I was fascinated with graphics. I used to cut out
pictures out of books and magazines, and most of all I loved fairytales.
After
graduating the grammar school, I decided to combine my love of drawing
with the love of Gdansk's old architectural history. I chose the
Architectural high school. I did not have the chance of finishing the
education, because I emigrated.
I
had first contact with AutoCAD (software for engineers and architects) in
high school. That helped me with getting a summer job at the
architect's office. I continued my architectural education in college,
but soon realized that it was not the field for me.
I
got the certificate in AutoCAD and in '98 I was offered a position in
engineering field as a drafter. Two years later I got an
opportunity to advance into multimedia/graphics designer position. I learned more about computer hardware and software.
I also started taking classes geared towards graphic design.
My
world changed on Christmas 2000, when I got my first camera (Olympus
2020) and WACOM tablet. Armed with: ADOBE Photoshop, COREL Painter, and
digital camera - I entered into my fantasy world.
I continued to take classes in graphic design to
polish my skills and become a professional artist.
